Congratulations to our Newest Eagle Scouts: Armon, Karl and Brendan
Attached are the latest Youth Roster and Draft calendar. Please review all information and advise if changes or additions are needed.
Starting in August Troop meetings will be moving to Tuesday night (7pm to 8:30pm).
Philmont trip, summer 2011. June 16th – 29. Slots available for 4 Adults and 8 Scouts.

Aug 3rd – The Southern Pines Police Department is holding a dedication ceremony for its new building on August 3rd at 6:00pm. The Scouts are invited to attend and participate in the ceremony. If any of our scouts are interested in attending please contact your scoutmaster or call Mr. Jack Austin at 919-356-4195.
Aug 14th – Troop Bowling possibly with Troop 223
Aug 17th – PLC meeting, 6:15pm at Scout Hut
Aug 24th – First scout meeting

OA Activities:
Aug 26 OA meeting 7pm, at LDS
ADULTS:
Committee meeting: 6:30pm, Monday, Aug 9th, at the Scout Hut.
Round table meeting Aug 19th, 7pm at LDS.
Adult trip advisers are needed. You do not have to go on the trip to be an adviser.
Adult Training Opportunity: Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills - Three Rivers District. Course fee is $30.00 this includes all handouts, materials and a TON of FUN. You will learn all about what it takes to become a First Class Scout. Registration is required by Friday Aug 6. See attached registration form. Session 1 - Tuesday night Aug. 10 at the Harold Boone Scout Building, 1020 US 64 West Pittsboro.
Registration starts at 6:00 PM and classes start at 7:00 PM
Session 2 - Two nights of camping, classes and FUN start Friday Aug. 20 and go through Sunday Aug 22 at Camp Reeves. Check in starts at 5:00 PM
